My Talk at Balaji Srinivasan's "The Network State" Conference in Amsterdam
The conference had 1.000+ in-person attendees (cleverly placed right next to Solana Breakthrough) and up to 1m online, so it was the biggest one on the industry ever.
I salute to the master of the meme, Balaji. It was an impressive show of force!
The conference had a simple message: theory has now turned into practice. There are real projects out there with physical jurisdiction & residents.
This is a milestone.
Since the publication of the book in June 2022, this was my key message at conferences. Many people thought this is a pie-in-the-sky utopian idea. I showed there are real projects, like Prospera, Cabin or Praxis (see the map here).
We can move on now to bring more builders, and build more.
A key takeaway from the conference was certainly that Prospera is by far the market leader of the field, almost every second presentation referenced it, and some projects build on top of the Prospera platform (e.g. Nomad Nation, Vitalia).
Prospera CEO Erick A. Brimen had a new message out: open source. His presentation showed the way to achieve real-world jurisdiction and promised the legal system to be accessible and public. This is also a hugely important announcement!
My own presentation was about Vitalia - a new network city that builds longevity companies through “districts” in places like Prospera.
