Startups in Honduras Make History: Infinita Hosted The “Meet The Drapers” Show & Pitch Competition
ROATÁN, HONDURAS – March 13, 2025
We just wrapped up hosting the $1M Pitch Competition, Meet the Drapers, on March 9th. Through Próspera Zone and Infinita City, Honduras is becoming a startup hub for entrepreneurs from the region and all around the world!
Over 150+ companies applied to the competition. The finalists were innovators in biotechnology, regenerative medicine, and financial services.
“The freedom that operates here has attracted some of the most extraordinary entrepreneurs on the planet. These entrepreneurs are doing things that you've never heard of in other places in the world.” – Tim Draper
A Historic First: More Startups Advancing Than Ever Before
Honduras saw more of its startups move forward in Meet The Drapers than any other city where the show has been filmed—including New York, Dubai, and Los Angeles. This reinforces Próspera's and Infinita's roles as a global startup hub.
One of the four finalists is the Honduran entrepreneur Juan Mayen, founder of Blink, a Bitcoin wallet that began in neighboring El Salvador. The remaining three finalists included Unlimited Bio with Anna Vakhrusheva, Muse.Bio with Juliette Humer, and The Network Bank with Ken Kruger.
Beyond the main competition, Infinita’s Startup Residency Program gave 16 more startups the chance to pitch privately to Tim & Adam Draper. This program connects startups directly with top-tier venture capital and expert mentorship, helping them build faster, overcoming regulatory hurdles.

The $1M Investment Competition: Meet The Drapers
Meet The Drapers is a global $1M pitch competition to back hyper-ambitious founders. Hosted by Silicon Valley legend Tim Draper, the investor behind Baidu, Tesla, Skype, SpaceX, Robinhood, and 24 other unicorns, the show gives startups the chance to pitch live to a panel of top investors.
The competition follows a “Shark Tank” style format, where founders battle for investment and audience support. In Roatán, the four finalists pitched their companies to Tim Draper, Boost VC Founder Adam Draper, Próspera CEO Erick Brimen, and Infinita City CEO Niklas Anzinger—competing for a spot in the show’s San Francisco finale and a potential $1M investment.
